We are thrilled to welcome five new and well-deserved scholars to the Rewarding Potential Scholarship program!
Every one of these impressive students will receive a four-year scholarship that will help to close the gap on their unmet financial need, allowing them to realize their dreams of attending college!
They will also be assigned a mentor for these four years to help them navigate their launch into college and offer guidance and support on any challenges they encounter.
Here’s an introduction to this fantastic group of students:
Elizabeth- plans to study accounting at the University of Albany. Liz has been the president of the local food pantry youth board for the past two years, and was a cross country and track and field athlete at Fox Lane.
Miguel– is headed to Baruch College with plans to pursue a degree in finance. Miguel worked 20 hours/week at McDonald’s throughout high school while also playing varsity soccer.
Leonardo– will attend SUNY Binghamton with plans to major in finance. Leo has been active in both varsity soccer (All-League!) and lacrosse, and has worked as an AYSO soccer referee while also volunteering at Neighbor’s Link.
Sashenka– is excited to head to SUNY Rockport this fall, pursuing a career in nursing. Sashenka is a member of the President’s Junior Leadership Council at Northwell Hospital, while also working at Sky Zone during her time at FLHS.
Esty is heading to St John’s University where he looks forward to studying business administration. Esty has worked hard throughout his high school career as a junior manager at the Pottery Factory while also being a lacrosse athlete and a volunteer with both AVID and the Mt Kisco Food Pantry.
We wish all of our 2026 scholars the best of luck as they embark on this next important stage in their lives!
